Homemade Chicken Gravy – Dry Mix Recipe

Homemade Chicken Gravy Mix

Make up your own packets of chicken gravy.  Simple, handy and much more economical than store bought.

 

3 Tablespoons Chicken Bouillon Powder/ Chicken Soup Base
1- 1/3 cups Instant Nonfat Dry Milk
3/4 cup instant flour
2 Tablespoons Dehydrated Butter Powder or Butter Buds Butter
1 teaspoon Poultry Seasoning
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions to Make Mix

1.)Combine all ingredients together in a small bowls and mix well.

2.) Measure out 1/2 cup of dry mix between 4 baggies and label as Chicken Gravy mix. Add directions below to package.

To Make Gravy

1.) Add 1 pre-packaged (1/2 cup) gravy mix to a small saucepan. Gently add 1 cup of water and stir with a whisk.

2.) Stirring frequently, cook the mixture over medium heat until the gravy comes to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 minute. Gravy will thicken upon standing.

The dry mix, will make 4 servings (1 cup each/ when prepared of chicken gravy.
