10 Cool Ways to Grow Strawberries

I had a strawberry patch for years, but over the years my berries have yielded smaller crops. When that happens, it is best to replant with fresh plants. Here are 10 cool ways to grow strawberries that I found.

Since I am starting over, I thought I’d share a few of the options that I found.

I’m looking forward to a bowl of juicy, sweet strawberries once again.

1.) PVC Vertical Strawberry Garden:

This vertical garden uses PVC pipe to make a unique strawberry garden.  I like the fact that the PVC will last for years.

2.) Rain Gutter Garden

This would be a good option if I ever decide to move the location of my strawberry garden.  For for someone that does not own the land they are gardening on – this would be an excellent garden idea.

3.) Strawberry Pallet Garden Box

I personally love this tutorial.  Not only are their clear instructions but it also lists what I consider the most important part of recycling pallets, what numbers to look for and are safe for planting in.

Strawberries can be grown in a planter instead of a garden bed. Master Gardeners recommends planter dimensions of 6″ to 8″ deep by 5″ to 7″ wide by 18″ to 4′ long, with plants spaced 10″ to 14″ apart.
