Garlic Shrimp Pasta
In about 30 minutes you can have this scrumptious garlic shrimp pasta ready to devour.
Servings 3-4 Equal Portions
As a little word of warning – This is a dish I like to prepare during cold and flu season. It has a little “kick” to it. Between the red hot pepper flakes and the garlic it helps opens up the sinuses and gets everything flowing.
Plus, let’s not forget, garlic is suppose to have natural healing properties. It makes a wonderful meal choice for the fall and winter months.
Garlic Shrimp Pasta Ingredients:
1 lb peeled and deveined shrimp
6 cloves garlic
3-4 tablespoons olive oil
Few sprinkles of red pepper flakes (it adds a kick)
Pinch of salt
¼ cup cilantro or parsley
32 strands of spaghetti noodles, which is a half cup cooked
1.) Break the noodles in half. Boil spaghetti noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2.) Wash shrimp in strainer under cold water.
3.) Peel and mince 6 garlic cloves.
4.) Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Saute until golden brown about 2 minutes.
5.) Add shrimp and season with salt and paprika. Cook for 3 minutes. Add in herbs and pasta, stirring and tossing ingredients to blend. Cook an additional 2-3 minutes. Shrimp will be pink and curl.
6.) Divide into 3-4 servings. Excellent with a side salad!
