Anytime I can make something at home versus purchasing it in the store to save a few bucks, I do.




It doesn’t matter if it is in the garden like Hummingbird Nectar , Suet Filled Egg Shells , Butterfly Nectar, Plant Food, or Bird Seed Ornaments.  Or, in the house like Homemade Nutella, All Purpose Cleaner, Jewelry Cleaner, or Chocolate Pudding Mix.

So, it shouldn’t be all that surprising that I have a cheap and easy solution to rid your flower beds of slugs recipe.  Right?

Recipe: 

Mix one part non sudsing ammonia to two parts of water.

Place the solution in a spray bottle and spray the leaves of the plant at least once a week.  That’s it. Really simple!

Non-Chemical Way to Stop Them in Their Tracks

Copper Tape – this product is excellent if you have raised beds and flowers pots. You can wrap the tape around anything. It is non-toxic and no chemicals. Slugs and snails you not like to cross the tape because it gives off a sensions that they do not like when their slime secretions come in contact with the tape. Making them turn the other way.
