Chocolate Chip Cookies in a Jar

Who doesn’t love fresh chocolate chip cookies?  You can go out and purchase just about any type of cookie jar mix you can think of but it will cost you.  Instead, try making your own chocolate chip cookies in a jar at a fraction of the price you will pay at retail stores.

Ask People For Extra Jars

By putting the word out I was able to get 1 quart canning jars from a friend. She was going to throw them out at some point. I gladly took the jars and rings under my wing.

Tip For Purchasing Ingredients

Start looking for ingredients around Thanksgiving. From experience I know that between Thanksgiving and Christmas baking supplies go on sale for .99 cents.

One Recipe Two Gift Ideas

The thought is to make up mixes that can be baked and also jars of fresh baked cookies, too.
