Time Flies When You Are Having Fun Vintage Big Ben Westclox. This gem is still in working order and shows a nice patina starting around the edges. The alarm clocks were manufactured starting 1909.
The first Big Bens were sold in 1909, and they were first advertised in the Sept. 24. 1910 in the Saturday Evening Post for $2.50.
The baby Ben advertisement followed Sept. 25, 1915 in Saturday Evening Post
This Westclox is from at least 1917. Between 1917 – 1922 the company started adding Westclox above Big Ben on the face. There are three different types of text, that can give you a good indication of the age. Of course, I added my own special finishing processing touches.
Of course with this Time Flies When You Are Having Fun print, as with most of my photography, I have added my own special finishing processing touches.
