Parrish Highlands ATV Trail in Langlade County
Setting out to find the trailhead to the Parrish Highlands ATV Trail in Langlade County Wisconsin this morning. This is a trail system we have not ridden yet, but are in hopes of finding some good riding and fall colors.
Rocks, Ruts, Water & Mud
Rocks, ruts, water and mud that sums up the Parrish Highlands ATV Trail after a fresh rain.
A little more challenging terrain than it’s cousin the Oconto County, Wisconsin trail system that we normally run. Both have their advantages, depending on what type of fun you are looking to have.
Rain Equals Fun
It rained for two hours this morning so I didn’t expect to stay 100% clean by the day’s end. Today, as a compromise between my husband and myself, we are after a messy, fun fall color run.

Location & Overview
We parked at the County T trailhead in Parrish, WI which is located in the northwestern part of Langlade County.
The map above will get you to the correct road. Just watch for the brown sign on the roadway for the parking lot.
There wasn’t any issues with parking within the gravel parking lot, it is generously spacious. We were parked toward the middle of the parking, as you can see wide open spaces.
I am often asked if there is a fee for riding ATV trails. Wisconsin law requires those who use Wisconsin ATV trails to display either Wisconsin registration or apply for an ATV trail pass. The trail pass may be purchased online at the WDNR, over the counter at any license sales location, or by phone at 1-877-945-4236.
- $18.00 non-resident ATV trail use pass ( I believe it for a year).
- An ATV trail pass is required to operate an ATV (Unless you have a registered WI ATV). Be sure to ask WDNR for any changes to the above information.A small piece of the trail that winds through the woods.
Bathrooms: On site, there are bathrooms with pit toilets. A welcomed sight to my pea-sized bladder, and also for changing out of muddy clothing at the end of your ride.
Must Haves on Amazon:
1.) Portable Jump Starter & Charger
2.) Tire Plug Kit
3.) Portable Air Compressor
4.) Tow Rope
ATV Washing Station
Something I have never seen at any additional ATV trailhead before today (in Wisconsin) – a washing station.
Drive up on the grate and use the hose to rinse off your ATV. A big THANK YOU to the person that thought of this gem.
The Parrish Highlands ATV Trail system has 53 miles of glacial moraines, hardwood forests, cedar swamps and rivers and lakes.
The trail links up with the Lincoln and Oneida County ATV trail systems. So, you can easily go for miles and miles for days of riding fun.
Hi- Ho It’s Off Mudding We Go
Now, since it is time to get more riding in – the camera gets put away in a dry and safe place.
One Area We Were In
Hidden deep in the woods while riding the trails you can find some treasures. This old car can be seen from one of the trails.
Go and have fun – spend a few days exploring Langlade County!
