I’m not sure about you, but I know for me I have noticed that life seems off balance. My husband and I spend much of our time apart, due to our winter hobbies and work. We dedicate one weekend day a month together to reconnect. The pictures included in this posting are from our Sunday drive in early March.
Answering Questions on ATV & UTVing
I get questions via private Facebook inbox at times on all subjects on this site. From garden related questions to a location that I have shared. Sorry, I can’t answer every question due to time, but do take requests and questions under advisement. Even, if I do not reply right away, I’m reading them; promise.
Frigid Shores Of Lake Michigan
The frigid shores of Lake Michigan are still giving us a winter show by creating wonderful ice sculptures.
It is brisk out, but we turned the corner, weather wise. Spring is here, nah! But, it IS warmer. There is no snow along some of the edges of the Lake Michigan shoreline in Door County, Wisconsin. Strange but true.
Da Yoopers Tourist Trap
Da Yoopers Tourist Trap in Ishpeming, Michigan. My photography travels are experiences. Exploration and if you can grab a few laughs along the way … memories are made. Nobody can ever take away your experiences. Everything else can be stripped away in a heartbeat. Your memories and experiences can not be taken from you. Unless you suffer from dementia – and then you have picture proof 🙂
Spent the weekend exploring some of Jefferson County, Wisconsin as I have for the past 3 years. My husband enjoys attending the Spyder Rendezvous in Johnson Creek and I selectively attend certain portions and catch up with friends from the event. The rest of the time, I am out exploring the area. Here is what I did…
Belgian Brick by Brick
As part of my heritage I have found great pleasure in asking questions and seeking properties that still house some of the first settlers homes. I was on my way to Sugar Creek last week and decided to reshoot this old Belgian brick home and outbuilding.
Happy as a Clam at Sugar Creek
Last Thursday afternoon I got a text from my husband asking if I had plans for the night. He was asked to go walleye fishing after work. I replied, nope. No plans, but go I’ll make some now. It was a very warm day and we had an extreme amount of rain earlier in the week, so I knew the creeks would be running. Late in the day makes a wonderful time to play in the water happy as a clam with a tripod and camera.
Abstract Fire Tower Bell
Capturing the Shadows, Lines and Strength
I wanted to capture this impressively beautiful and elaborate old fire bell tower as an abstract fire tower bell print in black and white. I am not one to shoot and turn a print into black and white, unless I see the shadows, lines and strength before I take the shot. This fire tower drew me in and immediately I saw the strength to use black and white to capture those bold shadows and lines.
Where is the Tower Located?
The fire bell tower is located on the shores of Marquette, Michigan and just as she stood there weathering the test of time, I also wanted to capture her boldness and strength.
What Was It Used For?
The fire bell was used to alert the village that there was a fire, back in the day. The city built a large brick foundation to proudly preserve and show off her strength and history.
Hopefully, you will agree that I captured the bold strength she shows in this abstract print.

Enjoy this short video. I am not an excellent videographer. Matter of fact, my teen told me I have much to learn and practice. No plans on breaking out into the video business. Thinking we are all safe. I enjoy sharing little pieces and parts of what I see. Even if I stink at it. I’m sharing. I shall take the free advice given by my teen and build from it. Maybe, I shall get better.
Good Morning Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin

Wequiock Falls Green Bay Froze over – the falls are located in a small county park just off the highway in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
They are the perfect, short stop off to stretch your legs after a heavy rain. The water flows extra heavy, then, More often than not during the summer months, you will find a slow trickle or a dry bed.
In the winter, nothing short of amazing. As the weather temperatures change, so do the falls. Each week brings a new sight for the senses.
