Right now fresh ears of corn on the cob are plentiful in the grocery store and along roadside produce stands. The price is right, too. Under 25 cents a serving. Can’t beat that. Normally, that means we would be up for hosting a corn roast & flavored butter with drinks at our house. Due to scheduling this year, that might not happen.
Exploring the Black Hills National Forest by UTV was one of the most memorable adventures of our South Dakota trip. Butler Rock near Brazeau, Wisconsin is a quiet hiking stop in Oconto County with a rocky summit, wooded trail, and broad views over the surrounding landscape. We found Butler Rock while out exploring by ATV and were glad we did. The trail is short enough for a simple outing, but the exposed rock, forest setting, and overlook make it feel like more of an adventure than you might expect.
