Ingredients:
Container with a lid
2 Cups Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Coconut Oil or Jojoba Oil
Few Drop of Lavender essential oil
Few Drops Vitamin E Oil
Directions:
1.) Combine Sugar and oils and stir until all the sugar mixture is well soaked.
2.) Add essential oil. I used lavender for mine but you can use any oil you wish. I have also used vanilla extract to scent my scrubs.
3.) Store in a covered container.
If you want to experiment with different oils instead of the coconut oil, try olive, grape-seed or almond oil. Luckily, there is no exact science behind the recipe. Add the scents and oils you wish.
The vitamin E oil is good for your skin but I use it to preserve my scrubs shelf life.
Important Notes:
– I don’t have a clue what the shelf life of the scrubs are. They don’t last past two months in my home.
-The oil will separate from the sugar. Just give the scrub a quick stir before using.
– You can use can any type of sugar you would like. Including regular white granulated sugar.
How to Use:
Scoop a bit of scrub onto your washcloth and scrub down in the shower. The scrub will remove dry skin and softens skin.
