Icy Lake Michigan

After a few snowfalls, the shoreline of Lake Michigan has mini ice chunks and pancake-type ice building up along her steel blue-colored waters.

Below is the view of the Lakeshore looking toward the lighthouse.

Why Is This Lighthouse So Special?

The lighthouse is one of four lighthouses in the United States still equipped with this style of lantern.

With so many lighthouses among us, it is two cool pieces of history sitting out on that beautiful island.
