Save your orange and grapefruit halves to make fruit bowl bird feeders for the birds.

How to Make Fruit Bowl Bird Feeder

1.) Cut a grapefruit, orange or cantaloupe in half and eat the fruit out of the middle to create a bowl.

2.) Cut three separate 18 inch strings.

3.) Poke three holes into the outside edges of the fruit shell in a triangular pattern.

4.) Feed string through the holes, knot the string on the outside of the shell.  Knot all three strings together to create the top hanger.

5.) Measure out 1-1/2 cups of peanut butter and ½ cup of birdseed to fill the bowl section.  Mix the peanut butter and birdseed together. Place the mixture inside the fruit bowl.

6.) Place the bowl in the freezer to harden the mixture.

7.) Hang the fruit bowl outdoors for the birds to enjoy.
