Life is Too Short to be at War With Yourself or Others
The war inside your head, you know the one telling you that you are not measuring up to some preconceived expectation of someone else’s idea or perhaps even your own…lose it. YOU ARE WHO YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO BE and life is too short to be at war with yourself or other.
Remember This As You Start Your New Year
Each of us has our own unique talents, strengths, and weaknesses that nobody else has. We each have enough of what we need to live for today, at this moment. If we need more tomorrow, it will be given to us tomorrow.
There is No Such Thing as a Perfect Life
We each have our own goals, thoughts and unique circumstances that make us, us. It is time to make peace with ourselves so we can go on and radiant our unique light to the outside world.
War Has Been Waged Against You the Moment You Were Born
War has been waged against you from the moment you were born into this world. You live in a world that televises thin actors, ads in magazines that depict models that do not eat for days to look their best and their photos are enhanced to fit a mold.
People always trying to show you what they want you to see – the good. Although, we each have our own battles.
Everyone around you expects you to follow a certain path. One THEY believe you should. You’re made to feel poorly about yourself to buy THEIR product. Playing on your every emotion and insecurity.
Expectations Lead to an Internal Fight
For some people, the expectations placed on them lead to a fight within themselves. One of not measuring up, one of never being good enough. They go through their lives ashamed of themselves, degrading their thoughts, their actions and feeling miserable.
Instead of embracing themselves and their own unique talents and strengths; society places this heavy brick on their head and tells them they don’t measure up to the standards.
Stop Allowing Projected Negative Emotions Rule You
We need to release ourselves from the war waged on us. Stop allowing people to force and project their negative thoughts that you are somehow undeserving of love, respect and we do not measure up to someone else’s idea of normal.
There is No Such Thing as Normal
It took me 40 plus years to realize there is no such thing as normal. Normal is how you live your life. You can’t compare yourself and your family life to another. People have similarities, but that is it, similarities.

Surround Yourself With Those That Build You Up
What I have learned over the past year is that I want to surround myself with people that build me up and not tear me down.
Love Me For Who I Am
Ask and then demand those that surround you, to love you for who you are, not for what they want you to be.
There are people in your life that can do this and some that can not.
To those that can not let things go, it is their choice. It just means that you can have less time for them. Make those that can look past your issues a priority.
The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself and your imperfections, unless you forgive situations, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward. Move forward in life.
Letting Go Doesn’t Mean You Don’t Care
Letting go doesn’t mean always mean you don’t care about someone anymore. You just realize that the only person you really have control over is yourself. You must respect yourself enough to walk away from those that harm you. Build up a wall and only let people with good energy in.
The War is Over
You don’t have to be a size 6. You don’t have to do this or that because you were told to at a young age what was acceptable, and what was not. You are worthy of love, friendship and having your own feelings and OWNING those feelings. It is perfectly fine if you don’t fit into everyone’s mold of perfect. You don’t need to. You just need to be you. You are perfect the way you are.
Do What Makes You Happy
One suggestion moving forward into 2019, do what makes you happy. Find what gives you joy and do more of it. Life is tough my darling, but so are you – Shape healthy thoughts in 2019.
